As more visitors come to Morocco, Marrakesh is reinventing itself to lure its share of tourists. Leading the pack among these new ventures is M Avenue, a $100 million mixed-use project that will include nearly 108,000 square feet of gardens and landscaped areas alongside about 183,000 square feet of shops, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. Lodging includes a 168-room Pestana CR7 hotel and 88 private residences from the Four Seasons.

M Avenue also amps up the city’s cultural offerings with various new galleries, showcasing up-and-coming artists from Morocco and abroad. Meydene, a 32,000-square-foot immersive multimedia cultural center and theater, consists of a permanent exhibition space, a 400-seat auditorium, and a rooftop that invites guests to an authentic immersion in Moroccan culinary art.

The development of the new district of excellence is curated by NASLI Holding (ex DHC – Downtown Hotel Corporation), a real estate company led by Nabil Slitine.

The project has been featured in The New York Times, online and in print.
