The theme at Loop5 is ‘Aviation’ due to the shopping center’s proximity to Frankfurt Airport and the ‘ESCO’ – the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt.

The history of air travel from the beginning to the jet age is set out along the mall. Propellers, wings, rudders and rotors in the graphic design of the banisters, floor surfaces and ceilings characterize the interior design of the new shopping destination.

The goal of this intervention was to promote the mall brand through specialty graphics. In this case, a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21, which has the Loop 5 logo and colors applied, is suspended above the food court.

Designed while at Sonae Sierra.
