BNP Paribas has completed the acquisition of the Aura and Echo buildings in the Exeo development for its new headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal. With a total area of 37,000m², plus 13,000m² of gardens open to the public, the BNP Paribas campus will be located in Parque das Nações and will have the capacity to host 5,000 employees under a flexible working model.

This project materializes the Group’s commitments toward sustainability, both in terms of its construction and integrated sustainable mobility system. The buildings will have a rainwater tank to irrigate the gardens (covering around 50% of irrigation needs), photovoltaic panels that will make it possible to supply the energy consumption of the common areas, car parks with electric charging stations, and bicycle parking. Considering its Nature-Based Solutions and green infrastructures, the Bank will, therefore, be able to reduce its operational energy expenditure and carbon emissions.

Developed by AVENUE and an Aermont Capital-managed investment fund, in partnership with BNP Paribas Real Estate, the move to the first building is expected to take place in the first semester of 2024, with the second move taking place the following year.
